What Is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a non-surgical ultrasound lifting treatment approved by the U.S. FDA. Using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), it delivers energy deep into the SMAS (muscular fascia) layer without damaging the skin surface, promoting natural lifting and collagen regeneration.

How It Works

Ultrasound energy creates precise thermal coagulation points at depths of 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, and 4.5 mm. This heat stimulation contracts existing collagen and promotes new collagen production, resulting in immediate tightening right after the procedure and gradual lifting over 2–3 months.

FAQ

You may feel a tingling sensation as the ultrasound energy is delivered during the procedure. We apply numbing cream 30 minutes before treatment to minimize discomfort. For those sensitive to pain, IV sedation is also available. Post-procedure pain subsides quickly.

Aftercare

After the procedure, you may experience a sensation of heat, redness, tingling, and dryness, which will improve within one week.

Depending on individual differences, you may temporarily experience throbbing, swelling, bruising, or redness of the skin, and depending on skin sensitivity, a sensation of heat or edema may appear. In most cases, these subside within 1-2 weeks.

Please avoid scrubs or exfoliation that irritate the skin. As your skin may feel dry, please moisturize sufficiently.

As dryness may occur after the procedure, please apply moisturizer frequently, and always apply sunscreen when going outdoors.

The results and their duration all vary depending on individual skin elasticity, degree of sagging, skin thickness, and other factors.

If blisters or vesicles develop within 72 hours, please notify Seye Clinic immediately and visit the clinic.

After the procedure, a white stripe phenomenon may rarely occur, and it disappears within 2-3 weeks.
