What is PicoSure Pro tattoo removal?
PicoSure Pro tattoo removal uses ultra-fast laser pulses measured in picoseconds (trillionths of a second) to break tattoo ink particles deep in the skin into tiny fragments. Because the laser energy is concentrated into an extremely short burst, it can selectively target pigment particles while minimizing heat damage to the surrounding tissue. At Seye Clinic our medical team addresses not only black ink but also hard-to-clear green and blue inks, and semi-permanent eyebrow and eyeliner makeup, tailored to each tattoo's color and depth.
How it works
PicoSure Pro is a picosecond laser built on a 755nm alexandrite wavelength and belongs to the world's first 755nm picosecond platform family. Unlike nanosecond lasers, which destroy pigment mainly through heat, a picosecond laser generates a strong pressure wave (a photomechanical effect) in an extremely short instant, shattering ink particles into a fine powder that is then gradually cleared by the body's macrophages. The 755nm wavelength is effective on black, blue, and green inks, while a 532nm wavelength works better on lighter tones such as red and yellow; our team adjusts the wavelength, handpiece, and energy to match each tattoo's color and depth.
Key benefits
- Breaks down a wide range of inks, from black to hard-to-clear green and blue
- Picosecond pulses reduce heat damage to surrounding tissue, minimizing scarring risk
- Fragments ink into fine particles for more efficient pigment clearance per session
- Can also be used to remove semi-permanent eyebrow and eyeliner makeup
- Short session time and relatively quick recovery mean an easier return to daily life
Recommended for
- Those who want to cleanly clear an old, faded black tattoo
- Those with tattoos in hard-to-remove colors such as green or blue
- Those who were not satisfied with the results of a previous tattoo removal
- Those who want to naturally remove semi-permanent eyebrows or eyeliner
- Those who want to clear a tattoo with minimal scarring and downtime
PicoSure Pro tattoo removal at Seye Clinic
Our medical team first checks the tattoo's color, ink depth, and skin condition, then sets the wavelength, energy, and handpiece individually for each patient. Because a tattoo usually fades in stages over several sessions rather than disappearing at once, we plan the interval and intensity around your skin's recovery instead of forcing high-energy treatments. We also guide you through before-and-after and scab care, and results may vary from person to person.
