What is Silhouette Soft?
Silhouette Soft is an absorbable thread lift developed by Sinclair (Sinclair Pharma). The suture inserted beneath the skin is made of PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid), while the bidirectional 3D cones arranged along the thread are made of PLGA (a lactide-glycolide copolymer). The cones grip and lift sagging tissue in three dimensions, and as the PLLA suture is gradually absorbed it stimulates the formation of new collagen. This means you can expect both an immediate lift right after the procedure and a gradual improvement in firmness over time.
How It Works
The core of Silhouette Soft is the combination of bidirectional 3D cones and a PLLA suture. Once inserted, the cones anchor loose skin tissue from both directions for an immediate lift; because these cones are made of PLGA, they are absorbed before the suture. After the cones dissolve, the remaining PLLA suture is slowly absorbed while stimulating new type 1 collagen around it. This newly formed collagen supports the skin's volume and elasticity, helping the improved contour hold even after the threads have been fully absorbed.
